The Miami HEAT’s City Edition uniform – officially known as “Miami Mashup” – melds the various fonts and numerals from 8 of the franchise’s most iconic team looks to create a vibrant, wearable tribute to its 34-year visual history.

A black base color provides a neutral foundation for its mashup-style “MIAMI” wordmark, which features assorted letter forms pulled from popular HEAT uniform sets, including Miami Floridians, Hardwood Classics, and VICE Nights, among others.

Below the wordmark appears the jersey’s front number, which can vary from player to player—the team was given the chance to select their own numeral style(s).

That same mishmash aesthetic extends to the uniform’s shorts, which feature a mashup-style “HEAT” wordmark on the lower right leg, as well as a multicolored version of the team’s classic “ball and flame” logo on the lower left leg.

The uniform also weaves in several references to the HEAT’s Championship-winning history. On the jersey’s “anthem” spot (located just above the jock tag) appears the “15 STRONG” wordmark: a rallying cry throughout the team’s 2006 Championship run. Just below that is a list of the three years in which the HEAT have won a Championship, each stacked vertically on the shorts’ waistband. Rounding out the uniform is a thin golden stripe that frames the ensemble of elements—a nod to the infamous yellow ropes brought out seconds before “The Shot” during the 2013 Finals.
